Caldervale High School

Pupils at Caldervale High enjoyed a variety of activities to celebrate European Day of Languages.

S1 pupils had to pitch ideas to their teachers for a chance to present at our European Day of Languages Exhibition. The winning pupils then went ahead and created a variety of exhibits based on elements of European culture that interested them. Some groups even made their own traditional Spanish dresses!

These exhibits were on show for the day to staff and pupils alike. We also had a photobooth which pupils really enjoyed!

Our S2 pupils created European Day of Languages postcards and these were delivered to all staff. They were all warmly received.

Our S3 pupils took part in a "Why Learn a Language?" poster competition and these were on display at our European exhibition. There were some amazing entries and pupils discovered many benefits to language learning.
